What is Adopt-A-Class?
Linking businesses, classrooms, children and the arts is the goal of the Southwest Performing Arts Theatre’s
Adopt-A-Class program. The Adopt-A-Class program allows classrooms from elementary schools to
attend field trips at no cost to the students. The Southwest Performing Arts Theatre is committed to presenting
the best in live entertainment and believes the arts are crucial to the intellectual, cultural, and social development
of our youth.
The Adopt-A-Class program was developed as an opportunity for businesses and organizations to help
underwrite children’s exposure to the arts. Business or personal donations enable classrooms to attend field trips
at no cost to the students, teachers, or the district
Can I help by sponsoring a class?
Absolutely! Businesses and individuals can sponsor a school,, teacher, or classroom of their choice, if desired.
For a donation of $100, one class may attend one field trip. For a donation of $500, one class may attend five
field trips, or five classes can attend one field trip.
Who’s responsible for this program?
The shows and presentations available under the Adopt-A-Class program are provided by the generosity
of the Sponsors and Donors of the Southwest Theatre

Children

With Adopt-A-Class, Teachers no longer have to worry about finding funds to bring their classes
to the high-quality field trips offered at The Southwest Theatre. These trips enrich their curriculum and

at no cost to them. The Adopt-A-Class program expands their child’s horizons and enriches their learning experience.
